Chapter 13: Tioman Diving Trip with ScubaPeople

And I'm back!

Decide to start my post on my diving trip which happens last year... i know it's so outdated already but i feel it's really a waste to not share this experience here!

Tim and I went for our diving trip twice both at Tioman with ScubaPeople.

Glad to sign up with them in Adex (thanks to Derek and his gf's recommendation)!

Trip started on September or October last year i guess?
Can't really remember... but the 2nd trip was during the Halloween period though!

Summarise up, it was a 3 days and 2 nights trip... 1st day will be spent travelling and settled down in the Motel near to the jetty where we should take our ferry to Tioman. By the time it reached the place it was already past midnight, so usually it's 1 night spent in the motel then waking up really early the next morning to set off to Tioman!

Shall not be too long-winded and get straight to the point....

During our first trip, both Tim and I took up the open water course (OWC) together, total of 5 dives to complete.. but beforehand, we have to take the theory and pool sessions. Rashid was our instructor in the pool session and Philbert as our instructor in open sea! They are like the #thebestinstructorsonearth. Haha! But anyway the second trip was a Halloween Event organized by ScubaPeople and Berjaya Tioman. Shall share more details below...

My kiasu Tim manage to complete his advanced certification during the 2 trips *envious max.....*

It's really once in a lifetime experience to be in the underwater life.... everything you see, you feel, you hear, is really very different. Bet all divers just love that "bubbles"sound hahaha.

Went to different diving spots and this is one of them~!

I must say Tioman's visibility is pretty good.. water is clear and clean too.

You can literally see fishes swimming on shore or even a diver passing by if he/she is not toooo low like (8m and more). My camera just don't do much justice.

More dive spots....

Some scenery shots~

The 2 heavy dive equipment bags that we have to carry on...

Tim and I actually purchased dive suit for ourselves and 2 masks for our comfort.
the comfortable level wearing a rental suit/mask and your own is really a HUGE difference.

For eg. when i wore the rental suit for my first trip, i have problem staying underwater for more than 20 min or even 20 min to be exact, because it was really really cold, and i was shivering non-stop. The rental suit wasn't very fitting on me by the way. But after I purchase one fitting suit of my own, I can complete the dive with the rest for straight 40 min!

Now I can't wait for my fins to arrive and go for another trip after HGF!

Who's that fish? Ha!

Everyone's preparing to jump down the boat....

And off we go!

Hands in hands, you and i~~~

See the visibility level??? How awesome is that!

My fringe is so messy....... Tim looking good with his pink mask?

Say what?????

Ya I know my hair is very messy....

Come... remove your regulator and SMILE! =D

Look what we've found???

Who say you can't keep fit underwater?

Come let's play open numbers.....

Hey you, wait! I want you!

The Tioman "Playground"

Usually divers will go through it and play around...

Spot that flag?

Chermaine! Our dive master!

First trip shot -- Holding onto the strings the first time you enter underwater...

Then we went on our own....

Hi there, this is my gym instructor, Timothy...

Bubbles, bubbles

He's teaching me how to use the treadmill underwater.

We are the center ones... the 2 person next to us, looks like merman huh?

During the 2nd trip, Philbert suggested to do a jetty dive. Wanted to do just a normal boat dive but was pull to do this. My god. And I survived! LOL

See the jetty? Spot me!

and down I go~

This experience makes you feel like you are been stir inside a washing machine...

Romantic.... teehee.

Some even clearer shots from Philbert's cam!

I'm a happy diver =D

Ready to do a boat dive!

Heading back to shore...

With the awesome instructors/girlfriends and us!

Philbert, Fiona, Rayner, Marina and Bowei.

We had tons of fun!

Back on shore, during the 2nd trip as mentioned, it was a Halloween Event trip!

Tim and I went to rent our halloween costumes at Costumes N Parties, along Kampung Bahru shop houses.
The rental costs are ranging from as low as $35 to $100.

the wolfman -- Timothy Jacob Yam *ahem*

As expected, we were arrowed "volunteer" by our instructors to perform on stage...

I think my red top makes me look more like red-riding hood here hahahhahaha

With the other 2 couples!

Sad to say, we did not won the grand prize to Langkawi but we came in
2nd place and won ourselves a Mares mask!

However, because there were many chances to perform other than this.. the brave-oh-Tim did participated solo on his own, and won a Berjaya KL hotel stay for 3 days 2 nights! yay~ =)

A big group photo of Scubapeople!

End of the trips went back down to shop for certification/card collection with the mentor,

Thank you Philbert for guiding me!

We are certified divers!

Tim with his Advanced cert and my Open Water cert.

Shall share one of the worst experience i've encounter during my first trip....
instead of completing the usual 5 dives during my first diving trip, I only completed 3 dives and the other 2 dives resting on the jetty lying down like a sick person. It was due to my nose vessel breakage during 2 of the dives.

Scary experience because I have never never NEVER ever experience nose bleeding in my whole life plus even my saliva is filled with blood and muscus....

This is the least disgusting side..... i've capture the image that has mucus and
even more blood to remember this... LOL

Anyway, Philbert said it was a "normal" experience for divers. Because of the speed when we descend/ascend hence the breakage, or if you have sinus etc. I was #totallyfreakedout.

Glad that the 2nd trip I did not experience it but was Tim's turn to experience.... impressed that he can still continue diving and diving like he is born to live underwater that kind.

Can't wait for the next dive trip with Scubapeople again! =)

Chapter 12: You don't owe anyone

Was scrolling through my Facebook this morning. Chance upon an awesome article that I can't help to agree and share with my readers! Do take couple of minutes to read the article below:
Many choices we make in life—ranging from what we do, to how we conduct ourselves, and who we interact with—are subject to prying questions and commentary from those around us. Family members, friends, and even total strangers, it often seems like everyone has an opinion on the things we do, no matter how small or insignificant those things might seem to us.
Sometimes people go so far as to ask you to explain yourself for the decisions or choices you make in your own life. You might feel obliged to respond, but some things are really no one else’s business and you don’t owe anyone an explanation at all for the following 15 things—though you think you do.

1. YOU DON’T OWE ANYONE AN EXPLANATION FOR YOUR LIVING SITUATION.

Whether you are cohabiting with your ex-boyfriend or ex-girlfriend, crashing in different motel rooms across the country, or living with your parents for a while when you are past your twenties, you don’t have to explain yourself to anyone for who you live with and why if you don’t want to. If you are fully aware of your living situation, then it means you have your own reasons for being in that situation that are nobody else’s business.

2. YOU DON’T OWE ANYONE AN EXPLANATION FOR YOUR LIFE PRIORITIES.

You have your own ideas about the things that would make you and your loved ones truly comfortable and happy, which is your main priority. Since we are all unique individuals with different values, dreams and aspirations, your core priorities will be different from the next person’s. You don’t owe anyone an explanation for what you determine is your core priority in life. That is your personal business not other people’s business.

3. YOU DON’T OWE ANYONE AN APOLOGY IF YOU ARE NOT SORRY.

If you don’t regret your actions, still think someone is wrong about something or don’t care much for their forgiveness, you don’t have to apologize. Many people are too quick to offer apologies and try to mend wounds that are not yet ready to be mended, which only serves to aggravate the wound and bring more problems. You really don’t have to apologize if you are not sorry or your side of the story hasn’t been heard.

4. YOU DON’T OWE ANYONE AN EXPLANATION FOR REQUIRING ALONE TIME.

You might worry that you will come across as “rude,” “anti-social” or “aloof” when you cancel plans or other obligations because you need some time alone to reboot, unwind or just enjoy a good book by yourself. However, spending time alone is a completely normal, natural and necessary practice that more people should adopt. Take your alone time confidently because you don’t owe anybody an explanation for it.

5. YOU DON’T OWE ANYONE YOUR AGREEMENT ON THEIR PERSONAL BELIEFS.

Just because someone shares their personal beliefs passionately doesn’t mean you have to sit there and nod in approval to everything they say. If you don’t share in their beliefs, it is unfair to yourself and to the other person to suppress your own thoughts and feelings and pretend you agree with them. It’s okay and better to disagree with them gracefully instead of bottling up your disapproval and frustrations.

6. YOU DON’T OWE ANYONE A YES TO EVERYTHING THEY SAY.

You have a right to say no whenever there is no compelling reason to say yes. In fact, the most successful people in the world are those who have mastered the art of saying no to everything that is not a priority. Acknowledge other people’s kindness and be grateful for it, but don’t be afraid to politely decline anything that takes your focus away from your core goals and priorities. That’s how to get ahead.

7. YOU DON’T OWE ANYONE AN EXPLANATION FOR YOUR PHYSICAL APPEARANCE.

You might be slender, plump, tall, short, pretty, plain or whatever, but you don’t have to explain yourself to anyone for why you look how you do. Your physical appearance is your own business and you are obligated only to yourself. Physical appearance shouldn’t determine your self-worth.

8. YOU DON’T OWE ANYONE AN EXPLANATION FOR YOUR FOOD PREFERENCES.

There are certain foods that you just don’t like at all for different reasons, including taste preference and health issues. You don’t have to explain to anyone at all why you prefer certain foods. Your food preference is a matter that is best left to you. If anyone pesters you about why you are eating (or not eating) certain foods, shrug it off and just say you feel better eating (or not eating) those foods.

9. YOU DON’T OWE ANYONE AN EXPLANATION FOR YOUR SEX LIFE.

As long as it happens with another consenting adult, you don’t owe anyone an explanation for where, when and how you conduct your sex life. You can wait for marriage, try one-night stands or experiment with same sex encounters to your heart’s pleasure and still not have to explain your sexual preferences to anybody.

10. YOU DON’T OWE ANYONE AN EXPLANATION FOR YOUR CAREER OR PERSONAL LIFE CHOICES.

Sometimes circumstances force us to choose between work and “having a life.” The decision is not always easy and you might end up choosing work, not because you don’t care about your family or social life, but because you are working on something that will give you security in the future. Either way, you don’t owe others an explanation for choosing a career over your personal life (or vice versa) as long as you are confident about what you are doing and why you are doing it.

11. YOU DON’T OWE ANYONE AN EXPLANATION FOR YOUR RELIGIOUS OR POLITICAL VIEWS.

Whether you are a Democrat, Republican, Catholic, Protestant or Muslim, that is your own personal choice. You don’t owe anyone an explanation for why you are what you are and believe what you believe. If someone can’t accept you for who you are, that is their personal dogma—not yours.

12. YOU DON’T OWE ANYONE AN EXPLANATION FOR BEING SINGLE.

Whether you are single by design or by default that is nobody’s business. Being single is not a personality disorder. You are free to be in a relationship or not. Besides, you are far more than your relationship status and singlehood is just one of those social labels no one should really care about.

13. YOU DON’T OWE ANYONE A DATE JUST BECAUSE THEY ASKED.

Someone might be nice, good looking and you may even be a little interested, but you don’t owe them a date just because they ask. If you feel deep down you don’t want to go on that date, then don’t. You may offer a reason for declining, but keep it brief and stick to your decision.

14. YOU DON’T OWE ANYONE AN EXPLANATION FOR YOUR DECISION ABOUT MARRIAGE.

Whether or not you choose to get married and have kids or stay unmarried and be childfree, that is your own personal decision. Even your mom who is dying for grandchildren should understand that marriage is a personal decision and not suited for everyone. She should respect your decision about it no matter how hard it is to swallow.

15. YOU DON’T OWE ANYONE AN EXPLANATION FOR YOUR RELATIONSHIP CHOICES.

Sometimes people make inappropriate commentary about your romantic relationship(s), which is really none of their business. You might overhear comments like you are not the “perfect couple” or you should find someone else. However, you are not answerable to anyone but yourself for your relationship choices. Live your life and never, ever leave or stay in a relationship just because someone else says you have to. Make your own mistakes if you must, but learn from them always.

Chapter 11: Nothing but words

It's really hard for me to get that "blogging spirit" back when I've stop for years. I know I've been abandoning this blog for the longest time... The passion to write as and when I want, what and where I've been is not as strong as how I used to have during my "blogging days".

But anyway~ this blog is still alive.

It's a working day for me today. A tiring Wednesday... I spent my night yesterday out with my team. I'm feeling very much like a young girl in an old lady's body.. Less than 7 hours of sleep makes me a zombie the next day. As much as I feel like posting many photos to share in my blog, i feel like writing whatever that comes into my mind even more. Just words, words and words. But seriously.... past few days I've been randomly thinking on what topic I would like to vent out on. BUT! after logging into blogger, the mind just went blank. Chucks!!!

Not long ago, I chance upon this article online.... worth a read:
http://elitedaily.com/dating/sex/5-reasons-one-get-married-30/

How many do agree?

I shall keep this post short and sweet after I've recover from my " memory loss ". Just a short post here to revive this blog back :)

I will be back! Teehee.

Chapter 10: Little Junior and his sister

If you already knew..... just few months back, i gotten one of the best birthday present from Baby! =)

A little puppy which I always wanted!

It was a tough hunt/decision for me although it is a present from baby.... I told him that we should really interact with the puppy before getting, as having a puppy is like having a new kid, a new commitment, while every puppy has different characteristics, reacts to different people differently too. The puppy that comes home with us should not be defensive or whatever with us and also the kids. It is really important! I have met puppy kind of toy poodle getting extreme defensive and fierce towards me when he/she saw me!

So baby actually brought me to (almost) every pet stores in Singapore to find the "right one"!

Alas, we settled down in Wellfond Pets! I was so stuck with 2 of the poodles there...
even brought the kids to meet them too!

We chose the male although i've always wanted a female one.

He is known as Junior. And he has a sister from the same litter too.
Was so stuck with the both of them when I first saw them.....

but eventually, we got Junior instead due to the special chemistry we had
after interacting and constant re-visiting.

Anyway his sister was already sold to a very lovely couple, and we planned a meet-up session together with the siblings few weeks back!

Initial visit,

(Right: Junior Sister, Left: Junior)
Junior's sister is like a tea cup poodle.
The shop owner called her a "toy cup" lol.

she's really cute and lovable too!

The owner of Junior sisters, Carrot! (Cindy and her bf)

Baby and I with the siblings.

See their size differences! After almost 3 months of separation....

Junior has been growing fast within this 2 months, from 1.3kg to now, 2.6kg -.-
Carrot is only 900gm. Cindy shared with me that when she just got Carrot she is only 560gm?

So much like a tea cup!

We let the siblings interacts with each other,

Like mommy and baby =x LOL

Dogs has this fetish in smelling each other's butts (the way they "make friends")....
so most of the time they were doing that...

No, it wasn't as drama as anyone can imagine when siblings meet together after a separation.
Carrot is a very shy baby.... while Junior's the initiative one.

Still, a great meet-up! The siblings had fun with each other after warming up!
And it was awesome knowing Cindy, her spouse and seeing Carrot again!

Till the next time!

One of my favorite photo after Junior had his basic grooming at Pets Palace.

My virgin visit to bring Junior there for a basic grooming session.
It's really affordable and the skills from the groomer is just thumbs up although is just a basic grooming but we can see the differences from the before and after.

Just in case anyone is living in Bukit Batok, might like to bring your furkids for a session too!
There's even delivery services of $5 to and fro! (if you are staying nearby)

The place is called Pets Palace and is located in Bukit Batok Blk 347.

Till then!

Chapter 9: Family day-out to ECP

Manage to have some time out for a post!

Been 2 weeks~ still feeling quite a hassle to blog every now and then. Ever since I've stopped blogging for 2 years, my current concentration is spending time with my family, work, my loved ones and having lots of rest! Imagine, 5 days a week i have to use the computer non-stop for more than 8 hours is very sick already, so when i'm back at home i will seriously avoid the laptop/desktop.

Anyway, flashback to few weeks ago (Saturday), had an awesome day out with my family to East Coast Park!

Dad's suggestion... it's been so-damn-long our whole family went for an outdoor activity!
Used to have it every weekends..

Brought the kids and even little Junior along!

My loves!

They rented this to cycle on.....

Eric, Javian and Charlene all ready!

Baby rented a "pet bicycle" for our little Junior! =)

Say cheese.........

Junior looking all-so-curious!

Happy family~ <3

Had fun cycling little Junior around too!

Stopped by near the beach for the kids to play in the sea,

Meimei and Didi is pretty scare of the sea.... hahaha

Phoebe very much enjoying herself

didi just stuck playing with the sand

Junior is very happy too!

"See i smile until my eyes cannot see!" =D hahaha

Thirsty...... *pant pant*

It's cornetto time~!

my youngest one!

Junior starts to"nua" on us... all feeling tired~

Favorite photos of the day!

I love you, you love me!

Happy day! =)

Before entering Burger King for dinner,

my cheeky 2 just couldn't let go of kids' attractions -.-

Because Junior is not allowed to enter Burger king, baby and I didn't join my family for dinner...
so we decided to have fun roller-blading!

A day of cycling, swimming and roller-blading! =)

Till then...
